Responsibilities

• Wash dishes, utensils, and kitchen equipment following food safety protocols.
• Follow all health and safety guidelines to prevent contamination.
• Greet students and staff as they come into the servery.
• Assist younger students with meal selections as needed.
• Address any concerns, allergies, and dietary restrictions following school policies.
• Monitor food inventory levels.
• Ensure food is stored at proper temperatures and labeled correctly.

Physical Demands

The employee is regularly required to stand and walk for extended periods of time. The employee will frequently bend, squat, and kneel to access storage areas and clean surfaces. The employee will occasionally twist at the neck and trunk. Employees will use their hands to handle, control, grasp, move, and feel documents and equipment. The employee is occasionally required to reach above head and shoulder level. Occasionally required to carry, lift, and move up to 50 pounds. In-person work is required.

• Environmental: The noise level in the work environment is usually quiet to moderate. The employee is exposed to infections at a greater risk than the average person. The employee must be able to work under fluorescent lighting. The employee is frequently exposed to hot surfaces, cold environments, sharp instruments, and cleaning chemicals.
