Grove Park Health & Rehab Center in Asheville, NC is seeking a food service manager to oversee the daily operation of the in-house dietary department. You will supervise staff, handle ordering and meal preparation, and ensure food safety and quality in a skilled nursing setting.

The role is full-time, on-site, with shifts Monday through Friday during daytime hours. Salary is based on experience, with comprehensive benefits and opportunities for professional growth.

Competenze

• Must have a High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Food Handler level II or state-specific food safety certification.
• Certified food service manager or related certification preferred.
• Associate degree or higher in food service management or hospitality with relevant coursework is a plus.

Mansioni

• Oversee daily operation of the food service department including staffing, scheduling and supervision.
• Manage food ordering, meal preparation and delivery to residents.
• Ensure compliance with food safety, sanitation standards and applicable regulations.
• Deliver quality nutritional services consistent with care plans and community policies.

Position Summary:

The primary purpose of your job is to manage the operation of the food service department to include staffing, food ordering, meal preparation, food delivery, food safety and kitchen sanitation in accordance with community policies, physician orders, care plans and within thecurrent federal, state and local standards, guidelines and regulations that govern the community. Assure that quality nutritional services are provided on a daily basis and supervise food service staff.

Education/Qualification:

• Must possess a High School Diploma, or equivalent and must possess a Food Handler level II or similar food safety certification per state specific requirement.

Must also be:

1. 1. A certified food service manager; or
2. 2. Have similar certification for food service management and safety from a certifying body; or
3. 3. Have an associate’s or higher degree in food service management or in hospitality, if the course study includes food service or restaurant management, from an accredited institution of higher learning; and
4. 4. In States that have established standards for food service managers or food service managers, meets State requirements for food service managers or food service managers.

Shift & Wage:

• Full-Time Opportunity Available
