Job summary

Roots Natural Kitchen is seeking a part-time food and event delivery driver for the McKnight area in Pittsburgh. You will deliver from Roots to customers, sometimes setting up food, and you’ll be the face of Roots during interactions.

Flexibility is essential, with deliveries typically during business hours. You must have a valid driver's license, reliable car, and access to email and a phone to receive orders by 8:30am for the day.

Qualifications

• Must have a very flexible schedule and be able to receive orders by 8:30a for the day.
• Must possess a valid driver's license, car insurance, and a reliable car.
• Part-time commitment with growing hours up to about 10 hours weekly.

Responsibilities

• Deliver food from Roots to customers, possibly with setup required.
• Interact with customers by phone and in person; be the face of Roots.
• Navigate buildings (elevator, hallways) and ensure timely delivery.

THE ROLE

We are in need of a part-time delivery driver to take food from Roots and deliver to our customers. This is much more than just grabbing a pizza and dropping it at a front door. Sometimes there will be set up of the food involved. Sometimes you will be carrying a 30lb box down a hall, up an elevator, and down another hall. You will need to have access to an email and a working phone at all times. You'll be interacting with our customers via phone and in person - making you a face of Roots.

Please note this is a contracted position, not a position of employment.

Starting Salary And Benefits

Expected pay: average $40+ per delivery

Skills, Experience, And Requirements

• This will be approximately 5 hours a week for the first month or two, growing to 10 hours a week over the next 6 months, should you be interested in taking on the extra time
• MUST HAVE a very flexible schedule (Will get an email with orders by 8:30a for that entire day, but general availability between 10a - 7p Mon-Fri is required)
• MUST HAVE a driver's license, car insurance, and a reliable car
