Food and Beverage Supervisor, Tutu's Food Court

Under the direction of the Assistant Manager, Food and Beverage, the Supervisor is responsible for overseeing subordinate employees, scheduling, and improving work quality and efficiency. This role involves planning, organizing, and managing employee concerns effectively.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  1. Assist with daily operations to ensure excellent service and adherence to enterprise standards. Focus on training staff to uphold brand standards and enhance guest satisfaction.
  2. Collaborate with leadership to develop initiatives that increase sales, profitability, and control costs. Communicate and implement departmental goals.
  3. Maintain safety and health standards, ensure timely and safe food service, and complete required training.
  4. Determine necessary materials, equipment, and facilities for operations. Ensure cleanliness, organization, safety, and security of the workspace.
  5. Perform additional duties to support departmental efficiency.
Supervisory Responsibilities

Manage staff according to policies and laws, including hiring, training, evaluating, rewarding, disciplining, and resolving issues. Develop plans for employee growth and succession.

Education, Experience, and Qualifications
  • Associate’s degree in hospitality, food service, business, or related field required.
  • At least two years of restaurant or customer service experience required.
  • Relevant experience may substitute for educational requirements.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Outlook, Excel, and Word.
  • Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to motivate and collaborate.
  • Effective delegation, multitasking, organization, and communication skills.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and comply with legal standards.
  • Fluent in English, with good mathematical skills.
  • Customer service-oriented, with clear communication and ability to work under pressure.
Required Licenses and Certifications
  • Possibly a gaming license, depending on the San Manuel Tribal Gaming Commission requirements.
  • Responsible Beverage Service (RBS) certification.
  • ServSafe certification.
  • Driving responsibilities depend on the role; select appropriate option.
Physical Requirements and Working Conditions

Work environment is primarily climate-controlled in a casino and resort setting. Must be able to travel, work evenings, weekends, and holidays, and perform physical activities such as lifting up to 40 pounds, standing, walking, and operating vehicles. Must maintain a professional appearance and may be exposed to fumes or smoke. Reasonable accommodations will be provided as required by law.
