Job summary

DoubleTree Suites by Hilton Hotel Anaheim Resort Convention Center is seeking a Food and Beverage Supervisor for the evening PM shift. You will supervise the outlet team across restaurant, lounge, banquets, and room service, ensuring service quality and guest satisfaction.

The role requires supervising staff, coordinating with Kitchen and Front Desk, and maintaining safety and sanitation standards. Prior F&B supervisory experience is preferred and flexibility for evenings, weekends, and holidays

Qualifications

• At least 1 year of food and beverage experience, with supervisory experience preferred.
• California Food Handler Card required within 30 days of hire.
• Responsible Beverage Service certification required within 60 days of hire.
• Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Availability for evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Oversee PM shift operations in restaurant, lounge, banquets, and room service.
• Open and close outlets per manager checklist.
• Lead pre-shift meetings, assign stations, and ensure service standards.
• Interview, train, schedule, coach, and evaluate service staff.
• Monitor guest satisfaction and resolve complaints promptly.
• Follow cash handling and reconciliation procedures.
• Maintain par levels and inventories of food, beverage, linen, glassware, and supplies.
• Work on the floor during peak service and assist during shortages.
• Ensure compliance with food safety, sanitation, and alcohol service rules.
• Coordinate with Kitchen and Front Desk; complete reports and incident records.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Position Summary

The Food and Beverage Supervisor leads the evening food and beverage team, supervising daily outlet operations, service quality, and guest satisfaction in the restaurant, bar, banquets, and room service. This is a PM shift position. This position reports to the Food and Beverage Manager.

Essential Duties

• Supervise daily food and beverage operations on the PM shift, including the restaurant, lounge, banquets, and room service.
• Open and close the outlets, following the manager's checklist.
• Lead pre shift meetings, assign stations, and make sure the team understands menus, specials, and service standards.
• Interview, train, schedule, coach, and evaluate servers, bartenders, bussers, and other service team members, and recommend discipline when needed.
• Monitor food quality and guest satisfaction, speak with guests to gather feedback, and resolve complaints promptly.
• Follow revenue and check control procedures, including cash handling and reconciliations.
• Help maintain par levels and inventories of food, beverage, linen, glassware, china, and supplies.
• Work on the floor during peak service, and step in to serve guests during high volume or staffing shortages.
• Make sure all team members follow food safety, sanitation, and responsible alcohol service rules, including checking identification and not serving anyone who appears intoxicated.
• Follow all California wage and hour rules for the team, including meal and rest periods.
• Communicate with the Kitchen, Front Desk, and other departments, and complete reports and incident records as required.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• At least 1 year of food and beverage experience, including serving experience. Supervisory experience in a hotel, restaurant, or banquet setting preferred.
• California Food Handler Card required within 30 days of hire.
• Responsible Beverage Service certification required within 60 days of hire.
• Knowledge of restaurant and beverage service, and basic cost control.
• Strong leadership, communication, and problem solving skills.
• Ability to read, write, and communicate well enough to complete reports and direct team members and guests.
• Availability for evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Physical Demands

Must be able, with or without reasonable accommodation, to stand and walk for the entire shift, and to lift and carry trays and supplies weighing up to 30 pounds.

Pay and Benefits

Pay: $20.00 to $23.00 per hour.
