Job Overview

Hotel Polaris is seeking an enthusiastic Food and Beverage Runner/Busser to contribute to our team's success and deliver exceptional guest experiences. Located at the U.S. Air Force Academy, Hotel Polaris aims to create memorable stays and foster a vibrant community atmosphere. Responsibilities
  • Set up the expo line according to restaurant standards.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the restaurant and expo line.
  • Clear and reset tables efficiently, ensuring standards are met.
  • Handle silverware, china, and glassware carefully to avoid damage.
  • Prepare trash cans, plates, utensils, and to-go containers at the start of each shift.
  • Collect soiled items and transport them to the kitchen using bus tubs.
  • Ensure full bus tubs are returned to the kitchen promptly.
  • Keep work areas tidy and organized throughout the shift.
  • Work swiftly to serve food and beverages, ensuring timely delivery.
  • Greet and acknowledge guests professionally.
  • Anticipate guest needs and address service issues proactively.
  • Communicate clearly with team members.
  • Adhere to quality and safety standards.
  • Restock linens, glasses, and plates at stations as needed.
  • Complete side work and closing duties as assigned.
  • Perform additional tasks as directed by supervisors.
Qualifications
  • High School diploma preferred.
  • Experience in a restaurant or fine dining setting is a plus.
  • Strong knowledge of service standards.
  • Good organizational and communication skills.
  • Knowledge of food and beverage products is desirable.
  • Ability to stand, walk, lift (up to 40 lbs.), and work flexible hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
