Job summary

Big Sky Resort is seeking a dedicated Food & Beverage Receiver to ensure timely deliveries and impeccable inventory control across on-mountain operations. You will operate snowcats, manage storerooms, and support restaurant teams in a physically demanding, fast-paced mountain environment.

Ideal candidates are at least 18, hold a valid driver’s license, and can work early mornings, nights, weekends, and holidays. This role offers full-time seasonal employment with substantial resort benefits.

Qualifications

  • Must be at least 18 years old with a valid driver’s license.
  • Comfortable operating heavy machinery (snowcat) and working in remote/winter environments.
  • High personal standards with strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to take initiative and work independently under variable conditions.
  • Calm under pressure and confident with problem solving.

Responsibilities

  • Receive, verify, and document food and beverage deliveries with precision.
  • Communicate with vendors regarding discrepancies or damaged goods.
  • Maintain clean storerooms with proper labeling and rotation.
  • Safely operate snowcats to transport goods to on-mountain locations.
  • Inspect machinery and equipment daily and document findings.
  • Support restaurant operations by transporting supplies and fueling equipment.
  • Manage waste disposal including trash and keg returns.
  • Assist team transport and supply runs as needed.
  • Keep fuel tanks filled and equipment running smoothly.
  • Collaborate with restaurant leadership, chefs, and maintenance teams.
  • Follow safety procedures and resort policies.

Overview

At Big Sky Resort, our Food & Beverage Receivers are the backbone of our on-mountain dining operations, working independently to ensure supplies and equipment reach every location precisely when needed. You'll combine logistics expertise with machinery operation in Montana's rugged terrain, taking ownership of complex deliveries that keep our restaurants running seamlessly. This physically demanding role offers the unique opportunity to master snowcat operation while maintaining the meticulous standards that make exceptional dining possible. Responsibilities
  • Receive, verify, and document food and beverage deliveries with precision, ensuring invoice accuracy and product quality
  • Communicate with vendors regarding discrepancies or damaged goods
  • Maintain well-organized and impeccably clean storerooms, with proper product rotation and labeling
  • Safely operate snowcats to transport goods from the Base Area to on-mountain restaurants - often in challenging conditions
  • Conduct and document daily inspections of machinery and equipment
  • Support restaurant operations by transporting firewood, clearing snow, placing patio furniture, and maintaining exterior cleanliness
  • Manage waste disposal, including trash, recycling, and keg returns
  • Assist with team member transport and supply runs
  • Keep all fuel tanks filled and equipment operating efficiently
  • Collaborate regularly with restaurant leadership, chefs, and the vehicle maintenance team
  • Uphold all safety procedures, resort policies, and cleanliness standards
  • Participate in daily meetings, team check-ins, and training opportunities
  • Remain flexible and ready to assist with a wide variety of tasks to support your team and our guests
Qualifications

  • Physically capable of lifting, pushing, and pulling up to 50 pounds overhead
  • Willing and able to work early mornings, night shifts, weekends, and holidays
