Food and Beverage Operations Manager | Mayo Civic Center

Overview

Role Responsibilities

• Assist the General Manager, Hospitality, in managing the venue's food and beverage operations efficiently, professionally, and profitably.
• Supervise, coach, train, and mentor employees, and handle employment actions such as hiring, firing, and promotions.
• Manage employee relations to ensure a positive and compliant work environment.
• Maintain excellent attendance and flexibility to work evenings and weekends.
• Ensure compliance with alcohol service policies and monitor alcohol service during events.
• Oversee catering and concessions from setup to teardown, including staff communication and guest interactions.
• Analyze financial reports, budgets, and forecasts to ensure profitability.
• Handle conflict resolution, policy development, contract management, and scheduling.
• Work with the team to analyze sales data, manage POS systems, and develop menus and marketing strategies.
• Establish and maintain relationships with vendors, show managers, and the community.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in business or hospitality management (preferred).
• 3-5 years of management experience in food & beverage, including high-volume catering or concessions.
• Experience with catering sales and concessions operations (preferred).
• Strong communication, decision-making, and computer skills.
• Knowledge of sanitation, safety standards, and inventory control.

Additional Information

This is a full-time position with a salary range of $68,000 to $75,000 annually. Benefits include health, dental, vision insurance, 401(k), and paid time off. The position remains open until April 11, 2025.
