Job Details

FLSA Status: EXEMPT

Reports To: Director of F&B

Job Summary

The Food & Beverage Manager oversees attentive, friendly, and efficient service across all outlets, including Room Service, Lounge, and Banquets, ensuring adherence to budgeted payroll and costs. Responsible for improving sales revenues and exceeding targets, the role requires working as much as necessary to fulfill responsibilities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide attentive, friendly, courteous, and service-oriented guest and employee interactions.
  • Maintain regular attendance per hotel standards, with flexible scheduling.
  • Ensure high standards of personal appearance and grooming, including proper uniform and name tag.
  • Comply with Aimbridge Hospitality standards and safety regulations.
  • Meet certification requirements such as Food Handlers, Alcohol Awareness, CPR, and First Aid.
  • Foster a warm and friendly demeanor consistently.
  • Understand hotel organization and departmental functions.
  • Train Food & Beverage/Banquet staff effectively.
  • Follow up on guest requests, complaints, and incidents.
  • Motivate, coach, discipline, and evaluate staff according to SOPs.
  • Review staff hours and submit payroll reports timely.
  • Develop managerial talent, including sign-off on competencies.
  • Attend staff meetings and provide training sessions.
  • Conduct interviews and follow hiring procedures.
  • Prepare and manage employee shift schedules within budget constraints.
  • Ensure timely performance appraisals and policy compliance.
  • Implement promotional ideas and control beverage costs.
  • Drive sales initiatives and uphold service standards.
  • Participate in MOD coverage and F&B reporting.
  • Manage forecasting, budgeting, and inventory processes.
  • Maintain professional relationships with staff and other departments.
  • Oversee Banquet operations and analyze POS reports.
  • Ensure quality and presentation of all food products.
  • Handle emergency procedures and maintain documentation.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the General Manager.
Minimum Requirements
  • At least 5 years of progressive hotel or related experience, or a 2-year college degree with relevant experience; or a 4-year degree with less experience.
  • Proficiency in Windows OS, spreadsheets, and word processing.
  • Supervisory experience required.
  • Strong communication, problem-solving, and financial skills.
  • Ability to work under stress and handle complex information.

Additional Details

Salary Range: $74,725 - $96,978 per year
