A Manager in Training (MT) is hired as part of the Inns of Aurora management trainee program, which provides on-the-job training and experience for individuals seeking management positions.

Position purpose:

• Supports Department Manager and performs management duties in their absence
• Encourages team members, communicates goals, and identifies training needs
• Assists with hiring processes and training new team members
• Helps conduct team meetings to update on departmental and company goals
• Develops written processes and suggests improvements
• Attends departmental meetings
• Assists in performance evaluations, coaching, mentoring, and disciplinary actions

Supervisory Responsibilities

The Manager in Training does not directly oversee the department but assists the Department Manager with coaching, mentoring, discipline, and performance evaluations under supervision.

Requirements

Qualifications:
