Job Description

This position is referred to as the Food & Beverage (F&B) Manager at Eataly. They direct the front of house operations of a single restaurant at an Eataly location, working with the front of house, back of house, and QSR teams.

Reports to the Store Director and oversees the team of Restaurant Managers.

  1. Organizes and directs a store’s restaurant operations to maximize profitability while upholding the company’s mission, values, policies, quality, and guest experience standards.
  2. Sets departmental goals and leads a team of managers, working closely with each to understand operational needs, provide training and motivation, and encourage interdepartmental collaboration.
  3. Assists with employee hiring, assignment, training, payroll, scheduling, evaluations, and terminations.
  4. Works actively on the floor, applying a hands-on approach and being unafraid to get hands dirty.
  5. Executes strategies around pricing, merchandising, new products, and promotions aimed at increasing efficiencies and driving sales.
  6. Estimates food and beverage needs, requisitions or purchases food, beverage, supplies, and equipment; receives and checks orders to ensure they adhere to specifications. Collaborates with the Fulfillment Ops Manager to ensure successful management of the inter-Store procurement program.
  7. Prepares weekly updates on front of house, beverage, and QSR operations, while collaborating closely with corporate and senior leaders to plan activities and achieve goals.
  8. Documents, investigates, and resolves employee and guest incidents.
  9. Performs other duties as required or assigned.

Compensation: This position pays a base salary of $90,000 - $100,000.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • 3+ years of front of house and/or QSR management experience in a high-volume, fast-paced restaurant
  • Exceptional communication, leadership, motivational, and team-building skills
  • Demonstrated problem-solving, organizational, analytical, and business management skills
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office
  • Experience with Italian cuisine and wine is highly preferred
  • Availability to work onsite with a flexible schedule often including evenings, weekends, and holidays
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
  • Ability to exert well-paced mobility for up to 8 hours, including standing, walking, bending, and squatting
