Job Responsibilities
  • The Floor Manager of Food & Beverage is responsible for the day-to-day operations of all Food & Beverage venues including fast food, bars, restaurants, events & banquets.
  • Attend & complete required trainings to operate & manage Food & Beverage venues.
  • Responsible for interviewing, selecting, directing, assigning work duties and responsibilities, scheduling, ordering, payroll, supervising, training, coaching, documenting, discipline and development of staff.
  • Sets performance standards for tasks, jobs and roles of employees.
  • Ensures consistency, accuracy, portion control, quality and presentation of all Food & Beverage products & services in a friendly fast-paced exceptional guest service environment.
  • Monitors compliance with department and company rules, regulations, policies, procedures, internal controls and government rules and regulations including the CBA.
  • Maintains safe and sanitary work area & practices per NYC Department of Health & Servsafe guidelines.
  • Serves as a consistent presence for the operation by guiding, directing and deescalating bottlenecks.
  • Champions responsibilities as they emerge and keeps an open communication with co‑workers & superiors to work through operational concerns and challenges.
  • Promotes positive public and employee relations.
  • Projects a professional personal image in appearance and grooming in accordance with company policy.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
Essential Duties
  • Supervise, lead and direct all Food & Beverage staff, ensuring all regulatory compliance within gaming regulations, internal controls and company & department policies and procedures.
  • Supervise subordinate Food & Beverage professionals, performing activities such as interview & hiring, training, instruct and assign work, evaluate and develop performance, and administer disciplinary actions.
  • Availability to work weekends, holidays and busy days.
  • Ensure employees are trained to work safely and efficiently within current regulatory guidelines.
  • Evaluate shift schedules and adjust, if necessary, to accommodate Resort World operational and departmental needs.
  • Prepare, maintain, and submit essential paperwork and meet deadlines on time.
  • Ability to multitask, work in a fast‑paced environment, and have a high level of attention to detail while ensuring prompt, efficient, quality, friendly guest‑first service responding proactively to all guest needs and concerns.
  • Manage day‑to‑day operations within budgeted guidelines, hold daily pre‑shifts for staff, inventory and ordering of all work tools as well as food and paper products, attend periodic meetings and training sessions.
  • Ensure Food & Beverage quality and consistency of all products through constant monitoring and necessary improvements.
  • Build an ownership work environment with emphasis on motivation and teamwork.
  • Develop a positive and productive relationship with subordinates & co‑workers.
  • Effectively and positively motivate employees.
  • Preserve excellent internal and external customer service.
  • Work independently and exhibit judgment, independent discretion.
  • Send daily shift reports to the direct supervisor with detailed shift summaries and periodic updates.
  • All other duties as assigned.
Work / Educational Experience
  • Must be at least 18 years old and able to obtain the appropriate license pursuant to applicable statutes.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Food Service / Business Management / Culinary School Diploma or closely related field, OR
  • Two (2) years’ experience in a high‑volume Food & Beverage supervisory position or equivalent, OR
  • Two (2) years’ management experience in the hiring position’s department, OR
  • Five (5) years’ related work experience in a high‑volume Food & Beverage setting required,
  • Three (3) years’ related experience in a casino high‑volume Food & Beverage setting preferred.
  • Superior written and verbal communication skills; able to effectively address all levels within the organization.
  • Demonstrated working knowledge of state gaming regulations pertaining to casino operations.

  • Ability to work long hours including weekends & holidays.
  • Knowledge of various computer software programs / POS systems / Infogenesis, analyzing, ordering and inventory systems and restaurant management software programs.
  • Leadership skills using up‑to‑date food & beverage trends and best practices.
  • Ability to manage personnel and meet financial targets and budgets.
  • Guest‑oriented and service‑mined.
Physical and Mental Demands
  • Requires ability to talk or hear; stand, walk, sit, use hands to handle objects, tools or controls; reach with hands and arms; sit, climb or balance; stoop, stretch, bend, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
  • Specific vision abilities: close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
  • Moderate physical ability such as lifting or maneuvering at least 50 pounds and prolonged sitting during the shift.
Language Skills
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret documents such as policy and procedure manuals.
  • Ability to answer common inquiries from team members or guests.
  • Fluency in English required.
  • Ability to write detailed instructions and correspondence.
  • Ability to present information in one‑on‑one or small group situations.
Mathematical Skills & Reasoning Ability
  • Compute complex mathematical calculations.
  • Work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference.
  • Apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.
  • Decipher reports and maintain reports upon request with strong decision‑making and problem‑solving skills.
  • Work well under pressure and deadlines.
Work Environment

The noise level in the work environment is typically moderate; in certain back‑of‑house areas it increases to loud. Employees must interact with internal and external guests in a professional manner and work varying schedules to reflect business needs.
