Delaware North Parks and Resorts at Kennedy Space Center invites applicants for part-time Food and Beverage Crew Members to join our team in Merritt Island, Florida. You will help tell the story of the U.S. space program by delivering friendly, efficient service to guests.

This role offers weekly pay, health, dental, and vision insurance, a 401(k) with company match, paid vacation and holidays, tuition or certification reimbursement, and opportunities to grow within our locations nationwide.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Must be able to read, understand, and follow written and verbal instructions in English.
• Must be available to work weekends and holidays, and to work on-call with 24 hours notice.
• Must be able to obtain a food handlers’ certification.
• Must have a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation to drive yourself to and from work.

Responsibilities

• Handling, chopping, assembling, and serving a wide variety of foods.
• Safely operate, sanitize, and clean all equipment used for food service.
• Comply with all property and departmental standards as they pertain to safety and security.
• Regularly interact with guests to meet and exceed guest expectations.
• May be required to drive to a remote work location with NASA entry requirements.
• After 6 months, transfer opportunities to operations and retail departments.
• Drive a company vehicle as needed.
• Perform similar duties as directed.

Pay

$16.72 – $16.72 / hour

What will you do?

• Handling, chopping, assembling, and serving a wide variety of foods.

• You may be regularly required to drive yourself to a remote work location where public transportation is not available, and you will be asked to show NASA credentials for entry.
• After 6 months of start date you are eligible to transfer to operations and retail departments.
• Drive a company vehicle as needed.
• Perform similar duties as directed.

More about you

• Must be at least 18 years of age to apply.
• Attention to detail is essential.
• Prior cooking experience preferred but not required.
• Must be able to read, understand, and follow written and verbal instructions in English.
• Must be available to work weekends and holidays, and to work on-call by being scheduled within 24 hours.
• Must be able to obtain a food handlers’ certification.
• Must have a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation to drive yourself to and from work.
• This position requires authorization to work at Kennedy Space Center and completion of all site access requirements.

Physical requirements

• Able to stand for long periods of time, including walking, bending, twisting, lifting, reaching, and stretching.
• Be able to work in both hot and cold environments.
• Able to lift 20 lbs and up to 50 lbs with assistance.
• Ability to move rapidly and coordinate multiple orders.
• Includes indoor and outdoor work environments.
