Overview: The Bartender is responsible for setting up the bar, mixing drinks, maintaining cleanliness, ensuring quality service, guest satisfaction, and controlling liquor inventory.

Responsibilities:

1. Maintain a warm and friendly demeanor at all times.
2. Be attentive, friendly, helpful, and courteous to all guests, managers, and employees.
3. Set up the bar according to hotel standards and ensure prompt service.
4. Prepare beverages and cocktails per hotel standards.
5. Serve guests courteously and professionally.
6. Break down the bar after functions, storing liquor, supplies, and equipment properly.
7. Follow all state liquor laws.
8. Know hotel services and facilities.
9. Adhere to hotel policies and safety rules.
10. Serve liquor responsibly to avoid intoxication issues.
11. Respond to guest problems, complaints, and accidents.
12. Be familiar with fire exit and extinguisher locations and operation.
13. Keep the bar and service areas clean during service.
14. Ensure guest satisfaction throughout.

Qualifications:

• High School diploma or equivalent preferred; hotel or related experience is a plus.
• Flexible schedule; long hours may be required.
• Ability to exert up to 50 pounds force occasionally and 20 pounds frequently.
• Ability to stand throughout the shift.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to multitask and prioritize.
• Attend all required meetings and trainings.
• Maintain high personal appearance and grooming standards.
• Comply with hotel standards and regulations for safety and efficiency.
• Show initiative and problem-solving skills.
