POSITION PURPOSE

Provide direct and general supervision to restaurant staff in order to ensure effective and efficient operation of assigned restaurant operations.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

(The following statements are intended as general illustrations of the work in this job class and are not all inclusive for specific positions.)

1. Staff, schedule, evaluate, train, develop and monitor team members. Recommend wage increases, promotions, demotions, discipline and other employment actions for team members.

2. Promote the courteous treatment of customers and team members including resolving complaints, answering questions and providing general service.

3. Must be able to conduct opening and closing restaurant and bar procedures. These procedures may include: bartending, cash handling, making deposits, and demonstrate the ability to work POS systems to ring in sales. Oversees, directs, and actively participates in the training off bar, serving and restaurant staff.

4. Maintain control of the restaurant/bar to ensure staffing levels are appropriate based on business volumes.

5. Assist restaurant manager in developing and implementing policies, procedures and rules including operations manuals, to promote compliance with company and regulatory guidelines.

6. Create and maintain records, reports and other documentation as required to meet company and business expectations.

7. Maintain the viability and integrity of all restaurant and bar operations.

8. Perform other duties as assigned by management.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS

• Must be at least 21 years of age.

Must be able to obtain and maintain a valid gaming license.

Demonstrated supervisory experience in a high volume restaurant.

• Ability to be physically mobile, and stand/walk for 8 to 12-hour shifts.

• Excellent guest service and communication skills.

• Must be able to work in areas containing dust, secondhand smoke, varying noise and temperature levels, lighting, vibrations, crowds and air quality.

• Must present a professional appearance and demeanor at all times.

• Regular and punctual attendance is required.

Prior Bartending experience preferred.

2+ years of Restaurant/Bar Management experience preferred

Wine, whiskey and/or craft cocktail knowledge preferred.
