Job summary

Round One Entertainment Inc. in Albuquerque, NM is seeking friendly, outgoing staff to join our team in a high-energy, fun environment. You will help run the front-of-house operations, serve food and drinks, and assist with bowling, karaoke, and arcade activities.

The role requires a High School diploma or GED and night/weekend availability. Prior entertainment or hospitality experience is a plus, and staff receive meals, discounts, and venues access per shift.

Qualifications

• Must be friendly and outgoing with customers.

Responsibilities

• Operate POS register for food, drinks, and lanes.
• Prepare food and beverages per company standards.
• Reset and bus seating and maintain dining area.
• Wash dishes and utensils; ensure cleanliness of work area.
• Open/close cash tills and perform basic cash handling.
• Manage inventory and temperatures of refrigerators/freezers.
• Handle utensils and supplies per store policies.
• Assist customers with requests and provide friendly service.
• Occasionally oversee karaoke, billiards, darts, and arcade payments.

Responsibilities

• Must have a High School Diploma or GED to apply.
• Nights and weekend availability preferred.
• We require all staff who handles alcohol to be 21+ years of age.

Essential Duties

• Operates POS register for food and drinks (includes bar register when directed).
• Prepares food and beverage items utilizing the policies and standards of the company.
• Resets and bus the food court seating area.
• Washes and dries dishes, glasses, and other cooking/food prep utensils.
• Conducts all opening and closing procedures. (Opens and closes cash tills, kitchen cleaning, etc.).
• Manages food and beverage inventory by the store’s policies and procedures.
• Maintains proper temperature for refrigerators and freezers.
• Manages plates, cups, and other utensil inventory by the store policies and procedures.
• Conducts restroom checks and cleaning including laundry of rags.
• Responds responsively, and politely with a friendly demeanor to customers’ requests.
• Occasionally Operates POS system to collect payments and allocate bowling lanes.
• Occasionally Operates POS system to collect payments and lends out facility and equipment. (Karaoke, billiards, darts, ping pong).
• Occasionally operates POS system to collect payments and issues cards and credits for arcade (AM).
• Other duties and responsibilities assigned by Store Management.

Non-Essential Duties

• Conducts alcohol and age restriction control by company policies.
• Conducts lost and found procedures by company policies.
• Seeks constant improvement or more efficient and less expensive ways and means in department work processes.
• Complies and maintains confidentiality of all company policies and procedures.
• Responsible for maintaining a clean and safe working area.

Education/Experience

• A High School diploma or GED.
• Experience in entertainment or hospitality industries is preferred, but not required.

Work Environment

• While performing the duties of this job, the employee regularly works in a bowling center/arcade environment where high levels of noise, dust, and activity can be expected.
• The noise level in the work environment is usually loud.

Physical Demands

• While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to bend, stretch, twist, climb and have a high level of mobility/flexibility in small spaces. The employee is required to stand and walk for extended periods without breaks during busy times.
• In addition, the employee will need to be able to use their hands/fingers to handle and feel and reach with hands and arms. Lifting and/or moving up to 100 lbs with assistance is required.
