Job summary

The J.M. Smucker Company invites you to join our Analytical Lab Intern program in Orrville, OH.

You will operate GC/LC equipment, manage an independent project, and support ISO 17025 alignment while learning in a corporate analytical setting. You will work largely onsite with a hybrid arrangement (minimum 4 days on site per week) and contribute to food product analysis across categories such as snacks, coffee, and pet food.

Qualifications

• Sophomore, Junior or Senior standing with prerequisite educational experience in Chemistry, Biology, Food Science, or relevant field.
• Well-rounded skill set with strong chemistry & mathematics background, general lab experience, computer knowledge, adaptability.

Responsibilities

• Manage an individual research project to support the business.
• Gain hands-on experience with instrumentation and general lab upkeep.
• Apply Analytical Chemistry skills to the food industry.
• Interact with cross-functional groups to optimize analytical challenges.
• Build relationships with other interns and professionals.
