Duty Year: School Year, Academic Calendar; Hours 7:00-2:00

Job Summary:

The primary function of the Academy’s Food Aide is to serve meals and snacks and perform custodial tasks in the cafeteria as requested.

Description of Duties:

• Clean cafeteria and kitchen daily and after food service
• Purchase food for kindergarten snacks each week
• Order supplies for cafeteria as needed
• Clean before-school program areas
• Prepare and serve morning breakfast and snacks, as needed
• Empty cafeteria garbage timely
• Run errands or perform other custodial tasks as requested

Qualifications:

• Equivalent of a high school diploma required

• Knowledge of health and safety regulations

Education & Experience

All administrators or other persons whose primary responsibility is administering instructional programs or as a chief business official shall meet the certification and continuing education requirements as described in MCL 380.1246. It is the employee’s responsibility to understand and fulfill any license and training obligations specific to position and/or for equipment that will be operated.
