A leading packaging company in Franklin is seeking a Folding Carton Packer to support their Bindery department. This entry-level, full-time role involves packing materials, ensuring quality, and preparing products for shipment. Candidates should have a high school diploma or equivalent, with previous manufacturing experience preferred. The position requires the ability to lift up to 50 pounds and adhere to safety protocols. The work schedule includes 4 days per week from 6:00 AM to 4:30 PM, rotating monthly.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Pack folding carton materials efficiently and accurately.
• Inspect finished products for quality integrity before shipment.

• Assist in maintaining a clean work area.

We are currently recruiting for a Folding Carton Packer to join our Garner, NC team! This individual will play a crucial role in supporting our Bindery (Finishing) department. The ideal candidate will have previous experience manufacturing type of environment; however, we are willing to train!

Schedule: 6:00 AM – 4:30 PM, 4 days per week. Schedule rotates each month: first Monday–Thursday, then Tuesday–Friday.

Responsibilities

• Pack folding carton materials efficiently and accurately.
• Inspects all finished products to ensure quality integrity prior to being prepared for shipment.
• Work as a team member to meet production standards.
• Prepares all finished products for shipment which includes boxing, taping, labeling, preparing a packing list, shrink‑wrapping and banding when necessary.
• Follow proper safety and quality procedures to ensure consistent and high‑quality products.
• Work in other areas in manufacturing as needed.
• Knowledge and application of Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP).
• Assists in clean up and keeping work area neat and orderly.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• One year of experience in a manufacturing environment preferred.
• Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals.
• Must be able to read and interpret ruler, scales and other measurement devices.
• One or more year(s) experience in a bindery, shipping, or packing role preferred.
• While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand and frequently is required to walk.
• The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds with or without mechanical assistance.
