Job summary

Oliver Inc. on the Hauppauge production floor operates die-cutting lines turning printed sheets into folding cartons. You’ll set up, dial in dies, verify tolerances, and maintain uptime while keeping safety and quality at the forefront.

This role demands hands-on mechanical skills, the ability to read tickets and CAD layouts, and teamwork in a fast-paced environment. 2nd or 3rd shift, competitive pay, full benefits, and growth opportunities are offered.

Qualifications

• Experience as a Die Cutting Operator/Pressman in printing, packaging, or folding carton converting.
• Hands-on skill with steel rule dies, counter plates, make-ready materials, and stripping/blanking tools.
• Knowledge of paperboard substrates (SBS, CCNB, Kraft) and their impact on cutting, scoring, and creasing.
• Ability to read job tickets, dielines, CAD layouts, and quality specifications.
• Proven skill in quick, precise make-readies with minimal supervision.

Job description

Imagine stepping onto the production floor where precision, speed, and craftsmanship come together to build recognizable brands. At Oliver Inc., you'll run modern die-cutting equipment and turn expertly printed sheets into beautifully finished folding cartons.

What a day looks like

You arrive for your shift, review the job ticket and CAD layout, verify materials, and begin your make-ready. You dial in the steel rule die and counter plates, fine-tune scoring and creasing for SBS, CCNB, or Kraft substrates, pull samples, and verify they meet tight tolerances. As the run continues, you monitor quality, make swift adjustments, and keep the line moving efficiently. Between jobs, you perform routine maintenance, swap stripping/blanking tools, and record key run data.

Your core responsibilities

• A positive, team-first approach and strong work ethic.
