Job summary

Mittera Creative + Tech is seeking a Folder/Gluer Operator in Philadelphia to set up, run, and clear folding and gluing machines while maintaining a steady run rate and quality. You will read job jackets, stage materials, and ensure first-piece approval.

This full-time role requires at least 3 years of experience with Bobst Gluer and Moll Gluer, supervising helpers, completing production logs, and complying with SOPs.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years of experience operating folding/gluing machinery.
• Experience using Bobst Gluer and Moll Gluer equipment.

Responsibilities

• Perform line clearance according to SOPs and complete Line Clearance Logs.
• Stage all necessary materials at the machine.
• Read and understand job jacket instructions.
• Ensure customer sample is at the machine and first piece approval matches sample.
• Supervise helpers.
• Obtain sign-off on first piece approval by supervisor.
• Perform quality pulls as specified in SOPs.
• Complete production logs for Mittera and customers as required.
• Ensure machine setup and run at specified rate and quality.
• Identify non-conforming products and tag for QA inspection.
• Follow customer-specific manufacturing, quality, and shipping requirements.
• Report unclear information to supervisor.
• Request labels from shipping and apply to cartons if required.
• Perform other duties as required.

The Folder/Gluer Operator is responsible for set up, running, and clearing the folding and gluing machines maintaining an established run rate and quality.

Responsibilities

• Perform line clearance according to standing Standard Operating Procedures (SOP’s) and complete all Line Clearance (LC) Logs


• Have all necessary material staged at the machine


• Read and understand job jacket instructions


• Ensure customer sample is at the machine and that first piece approval matches the sample


• Supervise helpers


• Obtain sign-off on first piece approval by supervisor


• Perform quality pulls as specified in department SOP


• Complete production logs both for Mittera and customer if required


• Ensure machine is set up properly and running to specified rate and quality


• Identify non-conforming products and place QA inspect tags on load


• Follow any customer specific requirements for manufacturing, quality, and shipping


• Report any unclear or conflicting information to the department supervisor


• Request labels from shipping and apply to cartons if required


• Perform any other duties as required
