Job summary

Smurfit Westrock is hiring a Folder/Gluer Operator for the West Chester, OH facility on the 3rd shift. You will set up and run the folder/gluer, monitor production quality, and keep accurate records to support on-time orders.

The role requires a high school diploma, basic MS Office skills, and prior Folder/Gluer experience. Overtime is required and starting pay is $26.49/hr plus shift differential with comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED minimum.
• Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating instructions, and procedures; may require routine reports.
• Proficient Microsoft Office skills (Outlook, Word, Excel).
• Prior experience on the Folder/Gluer is required.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate the Folder/Gluer machine and review production master information.
• Maintain production records and report on progress and quality.
• Ensure machine efficiency and timely completion of orders.
• Coordinate rake-off personnel and ensure load tag accuracy.
• Evaluate production quality and report concerns to supervisor.
• Maintain inventory such as glue and comply with preventive maintenance.
• Troubleshoot production issues and inform maintenance of equipment problems.
• Work with supervisor to meet production schedule and maintain safety standards.
• Overtime is required; perform other duties as assigned.

Folder/Gluer Operator - West Chester, OH

Shift: 3rd shift

Pay

$26.49/hr. + Shift Differential

The starting rate is $26.49 per hour, depending on your role, level, and location.

Summary

The Folder/Gluer Operator is responsible for the overall production of the machine and the quality of the work produced.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities Include The Following

• Set up and operate the machine, including reviewing production master for pertinent information, keeping up with production records and reporting.
• Responsible for the efficiency of the machine and timely completion of orders.
• Responsible for coordinating rake-off personnel, as well as the accuracy of load tags and unitizing.
• Evaluate production quality; bring any concerns to the attention of the appropriate supervisor.
• Responsible for maintaining inventory supplies such as glue.
• Adhere to routine maintenance spelled out in the Preventive Maintenance procedures.
• Troubleshoot production issues that may arise and inform maintenance department of possible equipment problems.
• Work with production supervisor to meet production schedule.
• Responsible for the overall safety and cleanliness of equipment and area.
• Work in a safe and efficient manner in accordance with company policies and procedures.
• Overtime is required.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Supervisory Responsibilities

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED Minimum
• Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. May require the ability to write routine reports and correspondence. May require the ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.
• Computer Skills
• To perform this job successfully, an individual should have proficient Microsoft Office computer skills to include Outlook, Word and Excel.
• Must have prior experience on the Folder/Gluer.
