Job summary

SupremeX is seeking a Folder-Gluer Operator to start up, operate and maintain the folder-gluer in a fast-paced production environment. You will ensure folding cartons meet quality standards and production specs while collaborating with the production team.

The role is first shift, 6am–2pm, with potential for other shifts if needed. Experience with major folders (Signature, Bobst, Jagenberg, Vega) and a strong commitment to quality are preferred. Competitive benefits offered.

Qualifications

• Relevant experience as a folder-gluer operator in printing or folding carton production.
• Knowledge of folding/gluing configurations (single/double/crash-lock/4/6 corners).
• Ability to make precise mechanical adjustments and read spec sheets.
• Team-oriented with strong attention to detail and safety.
• Flexibility to work day/evening/night shifts if required.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, adjust and operate the folder-gluer according to work orders and standards.
• Carry out editing and format changes for each production run.
• Read customer plans, sketches, and technical specifications.
• Ensure cartons are well folded, glued and meet quality/dimension specs.
• Perform quality controls and basic machine maintenance.
• Complete production reports and report anomalies.
• Maintain a clean, safe work environment and comply with health and safety rules.

The Folder-Gluer Operator is responsible for the start-up, operation, adjustment, and basic maintenance of the Folder-Gluer with the aim of producing folding cartons that comply with the company’s technical specifications, quality standards, and productivity requirements. He works closely with the operator’s assistants and the production team to ensure optimal performance of the machine.

This position reports to the Production Supervisor.

It is First shift position, with a schedule from 6am to 2pm.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare, adjust and operate the folder-gluer according to the specifications of the work order and the established standards;
• Carry out the editing, mechanical adjustments and format changes required for each production;
• Read and interpret the customer’s bending plans, sketches and technical specifications;
• Ensure that folding cartons are well folded, glued and compliant in terms of quality and dimensions;
• Carry out quality controls throughout production (e.g.: gluing, folding, alignment, cleanliness, compliance);
• Ensure the proper functioning of the machine during production and carry out basic maintenance (cleaning, lubrication, mechanical checks);
• Complete production reports and report any anomalies to the supervisor;
• Strictly comply with occupational health and safety standards, as well as internal procedures;
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
• Any other related tasks.

Qualifications and Experience

• Relevant experience as a folder-gluer operator (e.g., Signature, Bobst, Jagenberg, Vega, etc.) in the printing or folding carton industry;
• Knowledge of the different folding and gluing configurations (single, double, crash-lock, 4/6 corners, etc.);
• Good understanding of quality standards and folding carton manufacturing process;
• Ability to make precise mechanical adjustments;
• Ability to work in a team, sense of responsibility and attention to detail;
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet production deadlines;
• Availability to work different shifts (day, evening, night) if required.

Compensation:
$18.50 to $19.50 per hour, depending on experience and qualifications.
