Job summary

Harkcon, Inc. seeks an experienced FOIA/Privacy Act Analyst to support a federal information‑access program in Albuquerque. You will manage complex requests from intake to final response, applying exemptions and redactions while coordinating with multiple stakeholders.

The role requires strong written communication, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple cases to meet deadlines under DOE Q clearance constraints.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field and 2+ years of FOIA experience or 5+ years of FOIA experience.
• Experience using FOIAXpress or a commercial FOIA case-management system.
• Proficiency with Word, Excel, Outlook and related Microsoft apps.

Responsibilities

• Process FOIA and Privacy Act requests from intake through final response and closeout.
• Review requests for scope, complexity, and required actions.
• Clarify requests with requesters and coordinate record searches with offices.
• Apply FOIA exemptions and Privacy Act provisions to responsive records.
• Redact sensitive information using approved tools and prepare correspondence.
• Maintain case information and produce reports for leadership.
