Qualifications

• Background in Food/Beverage industry required.
• Barista experience preferred but not mandatory.
• Hands-on with brewing equipment and recipes.
• Knowledge of sanitation regulations and Florida Food Handler cert.
• Willingness to obtain Florida Food Handler certification within 90 days.

Responsibilities

• Greet guests warmly at entry and assist with menu.
• Take orders accurately, noting coffee blends, dairy, and sugar preferences.
• Prepare hot and cold beverages per Buddy Brew recipes.
• Provide high-quality, presentable beverages and serve guests.
• Handle cash transactions and process payments.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and well-stocked work station.
• Monitor stock levels of ceramics and disposables.
• Report equipment issues in shift report and follow safety regs.
• Offer menu suggestions based on guest preferences.

Responsibilities:

• Greet guests warmly as they enter the cafe
• Guide guests through our diverse drink and food menu, answering any questions they may have
• Take orders with careful attention to details such as coffee blend preferences, dairy choices, and sugar requirements
• Prepare a variety of hot and cold beverages following Buddy Brew Coffee recipes
• Serve beverages in a high-quality and presentable manner
• Handle cash transactions and process credit card payments accurately
• Maintain a clean, organized, and well‑stocked work station
• Ensure stock levels of ceramic, cutlery, and paper goods are adequate
• Regularly check and maintain brewing equipment, reporting any issues in the shift report
• Adhere to local health and safety regulations
• Communicate guest feedback to managers for continuous improvement
• Actively suggest menu additions or alterations based on customer preferences
• Perform other duties as assigned

Skills:

• Previous work experience in the Food/Beverage industry
• Barista experience is preferred but not required
• Hands‑on experience with brewing equipment
• Knowledge of sanitation regulations
• Food Handlers certification in Florida (or ability to become certified within 90 days)
• Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays
• Basic math and cash handling skills
• Ability to understand and respond to guest preferences
• Ability to work in close proximity with others in a cooperative manner
