Summary

The Sales Manager for SafeSet Coupling Technologies will primarily promote Voith's SafeSet product line within North America. Responsibilities include technical and commercial product sales support, product selection, pricing, and quotation development for mechanical power transmission applications. A solid understanding of rotating mechanical power transmission engineering and application knowledge for electro-mechanical and combustion engine drive systems is required. While the focus is on selling SafeSet Couplings, cross-promotion of Voith's other products is essential.

Responsibilities
  1. Develop and maintain customer accounts, including OEMs, engineering firms, distributors, and end-users.
  2. Organize and host product presentations and technical discussions both in person and online.
  3. Evaluate customer specifications to make initial product selections using Voith tools.
  4. Collaborate with the team to create solutions, generate pricing, and develop quotations.
  5. Coordinate with internal teams to communicate project requirements and deadlines, including project kick-offs and follow-ups.
  6. Provide technical support and troubleshooting.
  7. Develop business and sales plans, and assist in establishing targets.
  8. Support the global VT2030 Growth plan for SafeSet sales.
  9. Participate in industry trade events and coordinate marketing activities.
  10. Maintain CRM records and customer relationships.
  11. Support international projects involving end-user, OEM, or engineering accounts in the USA.
  12. Travel as needed (~25%), primarily within the USA and occasionally to Sweden and Germany.
  13. Support after-market sales, including replacement and retrofit opportunities.
  14. Work occasional weekends for travel or events.
  15. Handle special projects assigned by management.
Qualifications
  • Degree in engineering or business from an accredited institution; business degrees should include technical engineering experience.
  • Experience in Product Management, Application Engineering, Customer Management, and Sales within the Mechanical Power Transmission industry.
Physical Demands
  • Must meet physical requirements to perform key job actions.
  • Ability to talk and hear in an industrial setting; stand and walk on concrete for 4-8 hours; reach, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl as needed.
  • Visual requirements include close, distance, peripheral vision, depth perception, and focus adjustment.
  • Moderate travel required, via personal or rental cars, trains, and airplanes.
