YKHC Yukon Kuskokwim Health Corporation in Bethel, AK, is seeking a Focus Care Clinic Unit Clerk to support clinic operations and patient flow. You will manage patient records, schedule appointments, and coordinate communication under the RN Coordinator.

Ideal candidates have a high school diploma, 1–2 years in healthcare, familiarity with medical terminology, and experience with EMR systems and Microsoft Office. CNA or CMA credential preferred.

Position Summary

The Focus Care Clinic Unit Clerk provides administrative and clerical support to ensure the efficient operations of the unit. Under the guidance of the RN Coordinator, this role serves as a point of contact for patients and supports healthcare providers by managing patient records, scheduling appointments, and coordinating communication within the clinic.

Position Qualifications

Minimum Education: High school diploma or equivalent.

Minimum Experience: 1-2 years of experience working in a healthcare field preferred.

Medical terminology preferred.

License, Certification, Registration: Certified Nurse Assistant or Certified Medical Assistant preferred.

Equipment /Tools:

• Computer, Printer, photocopier, fax machine, multi-line phone system and other general office equipment.

Specialized Knowledge and Skills:

• Typing 45 w.p.m.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Strong multitasking and organizational skills.
• Attention to detail and accuracy necessary.
• Proficiency in EMR systems and Microsoft office preferred.
• Ability to maintain patient confidentiality.
• Interpersonal and communication skill required; Ability to communicate effectively in English, both verbal and written.
• Yup’ik speaker preferred.
• Medical terminology preferred.
