Job summary

DataOne Systems, LLC is seeking a senior fiber technician lead to head field testing efforts across complex fiber networks in Dallas. You will manage field teams, ensure safety and quality, calibrate and operate test equipment, and coordinate testing within client maintenance windows.

The role requires 5+ years in telecom fiber testing, leadership experience, and strong knowledge of fiber testing tools. You will provide updates to customers and contribute to final documentation and reports.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of telecom experience with fiber characterization expertise.
• Proven experience as a lead or senior fiber technician (A/B-side proficiency required).
• Strong knowledge of fiber testing tools and reporting systems.
• Valid U.S. driver’s license / transportation required.
• Solid communication, leadership, and organizational skills.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office and relevant testing software.

Responsibilities

• Lead all fiber testing activities, including OTDR, OLTS, and CD/PMD (required).
• Manage field teams and assign work to technicians, ensuring safety, quality, and efficiency.
• Oversee test equipment, including calibration and proper usage.

• Validate test results and ensure accuracy before site completion.
• Provide regular project updates and communicate directly with customers.

• Participate in project planning and progress meetings.
• Provide technical support to customers and internal teams as needed.
