Job summary

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED or 0–3 months related experience or training.
• Ability to read and comprehend detailed instructions, correspondence, and memos.
• Ability to communicate effectively with supervisors, peers, and subordinate employees.
• Ability to perform basic math in all units of measure.
• Ability to read a tape measure.
• Ability to follow oral, written, or drawn instructions involving multiple steps.
• Ability to work through standardized situations with multiple potential variables.
• Ability to stand, walk, handle materials, reach; occasionally stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, talk, hear.
• Ability to lift up to 70 pounds.
• Vision requirements: close, distance, peripheral, depth, focus.
• Ability to work around moving parts, chemicals, fumes, and electrical hazards.
• Ability to wear face shield protection when injecting foam.

Responsibilities

• Safety is the #1 priority at all times.
• Follow procedures and manufacturer recommendations for equipment operation.
• Make recommendations for procedural changes as needed.
• Recognize defects and identify probable causes.
• Check raw materials meet specifications through quality checks.
• Monitor foaming system and related equipment.
• Report equipment or process issues to supervisors.
• Maintain tools and equipment in good condition.
• Keep jigs and fixtures clean and properly adjusted.
• Report repairs to supervisor immediately.
• Clean fixtures before warehousing after job completion.
• Use shop supplies efficiently during ratio checks.
• Maintain good housekeeping in the work area.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
