Job summary

FXI in Santa Teresa, NM seeks a detail‑oriented Lab Technician to support daily foam testing, data entry, and certification generation for customers in multiple industries. This role requires precision, adherence to ISO 9001/ISO/IEC 17025, and the ability to work with SAP when needed.

You'll collaborate with manufacturing teams, document JHA and SOP updates, and help ensure safety and compliance across shifts.

Qualifications

• Must have High School diploma or GED equivalent.
• ASQ certification as CQ1 or CQT is desirable.
• Must have at least 2 years of lab testing experience.
• Direct experience within a manufacturing facility under ISO, AS, IATF management systems with training in roles such as Manager, Lead, Technician, Inspector or Auditor.
• Excellent interpersonal skills.
• Must have excellent computer skills with all Microsoft applications.
• SAP experience desirable.
• Have working knowledge of ISO 9001 and ISO/IEC17025 current requirements.
• Must be detail oriented.
• Must be able to work independently and effectively manage time.

Responsibilities

• Perform daily foam tests for the lab.
• Must be able to cut detailed test samples, perform data entry, issue certification of compliance to customers.
• Participates in and able to lead corrective action teams.
• Must be able to work scheduled and unscheduled overtime, including weekends.
• Effectively communicate with plant associates and Managers.
• Must be able to create and update JHA's, and SOP's.
• Follow all safety and housekeeping guidelines.
• Other tasks as assigned by Supervision.
