Job summary

Fuse is seeking a Senior Capital Development leader to own the complete lifecycle of major projects, from permitting strategy to contractor coordination and execution. You will navigate regulatory codes, coordinate with engineers, and drive schedules and budgets for current and future facilities.

You will report to the CEO and lead a team as the portfolio scales, ensuring fast, compliant progress in a high-velocity, mission-driven environment in San Leandro, CA.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated track record shipping large-scale FOAK capital projects at high-velocity companies.
• Experience managing complex permitting in relevant jurisdictions; strong understanding of building, fire, zoning, and environmental regulations.
• Ability to manage multiple contractors and vendors; set expectations and drive accountability.
• Solid understanding of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems; ability to read and evaluate technical designs.
• Comfort with ambiguity and changing scope; able to decide with incomplete information.
• Entrepreneurial mindset; move-fast-and-iterate culture.

Responsibilities

• Take responsibility for the complete capital project lifecycle: permitting strategy, contractor coordination, scheduling, budget management, and execution.
• Navigate building, fire, zoning, and environmental codes; manage relationships with local planning departments, building departments, fire, HazMat, and other regulators.
• Develop and execute permitting strategy for current and future projects; coordinate with engineers.
• Manage multiple contractors; set expectations and track deliverables; build vendor relationships.
• Create and maintain project schedules; identify critical path items; communicate timelines to leadership.
