Job summary

Harnett County Department of Social Services is seeking an Income Maintenance professional to determine continued eligibility for the Food and Nutrition Services (FNS) program in Harnett County. The role includes serving during emergency management shelter as needed and assigned.

The starting salary is $42,480.00 (Grade 17) with progression to $46,834.00 (Grade 19) after completion, and consideration of applicants in a Work Against status with up to one year of Income Maintenance experience.

Qualifications

• Good mathematical reasoning and computational skills.
• Ability to communicate with clients, applicants, and the public to obtain data, and to explain and interpret rules, policies, and procedures.
• Ability to understand the needs and problems of clients/applicants.
• Ability to learn the program area of assignment and all agency programs and services which could affect the client/applicant.
