Job summary

Tri-Med Family Care in Dalton, GA is seeking a Family Medicine Nurse Practitioner (FNP) to promote patient health through proactive treatment, comprehensive exams, and chronic disease screening. The role reports to the Chief Medical Officer and is exempt under FLSA.

Candidates should be a board-certified FNP with an active Georgia license, CPR/BLS, DEA, and NPI. Bilingual English/Spanish is strongly preferred.

Qualifications

Job Title: Family Medicine Nurse Practitioner (FNP)

General Job Description:

The Family Medicine Nurse Practitioner is responsible for promoting the health and safety of their patients by providing quality medical care through proactive treatment and diagnoses. Their duties include addressing patient's health concerns, conducting comprehensive health assessments, physical exams, and screening chronic medical conditions.

Qualifications:

EDUCATION

• Graduation of an accredited school of nursing.
• Successful completion of an accredited Nurse Practitioner program.

CERTIFICATE/LICENSE

• Georgia State Registered Advance Nurse Practitioner License
• Current certification from the American Nurses Association (ANA) or another comparable credentialing agency
• CPR/BLS
• DEA
• NPI

EXPERIENCE

• Minimum of two-years clinical experience preferred.
• Must be a board-certified Family Nurse Practitioner with documented training and credentialing across the full patient lifespan (infant to adult).
• Candidate must hold FNP certification and demonstrate clinical competency across all developmental stages, from newborns to older adults.
• Bilingual English/Spanish: Strongly Preferred

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, & ABILITIES

• Knowledge of professional nursing theory, practice, and medical care to give and evaluate patient care.
• Knowledge of medical equipment and instruments.
• Knowledge of common safety hazards and precautions to establish a safe work environment.
