Job summary

Chugach Government Solutions is seeking a skilled Journeyman Technician for the Moffett Field, CA location to perform maintenance and monitoring of control panels, sensors, and programming on the FMCS. The role emphasizes reliable alarm sequences, boiler and steam plant oversight, and PM/RCM tasks.

The position requires a High school diploma or GED, at least one year of Building Automation System experience (Siemens/Insight S600 preferred) and strong HVAC knowledge.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Completion of one Siemens Apogee course required (New user, Insight Operations, DDC basics, Stand-alone programming).
• Journeyman Technician with minimum 1 year recent Building Automation System experience (Siemens, Landis Host based Insight S600 preferred).
• Strong knowledge of HVAC systems and controls; knowledge of RCM, PT&I, electronics and MS Office helpful.

Responsibilities

• Maintenance includes assembly, disassembly, cleaning, calibration, troubleshooting, replacement of parts, and basic reprogramming of control logic.
• Ensure operational reliability of all alarms and sequences on the FMCS.
• Monitor high pressure steam plant and adjust equipment to optimize performance.
• Replenish consumables used in building and infrastructure support systems.
• Assist in implementing/enhancing the RCM program; track programs and coordinate PT&I analyses.
• Provide training to craftsmen; modify PM tasks to balance PM/RCM; update records.
• Perform street light rounds and other related duties as required.

Job Overview

Performs maintenance and monitoring of control panels, equipment, sensors, actuators, and programming on the FMCS.

Responsibilities

Essential Job Duties:

• Maintenance work includes assembly, disassembly, cleaning, calibration, troubleshooting, replacement of defective parts, and basic reprogramming control logic to accommodate changes in sequences of operation of equipment.


• Ensures operational reliability of all alarms and sequences of operation on the FMCS.


• Monitors operation of the high pressure steam plant and makes changes and adjustments to associated equipment and controls as necessary to provide optimum performance of the steam plant.


• Replenishes consumables used in the operation of building and infrastructure support systems.


• Assists in the implementation/enhancement of the RCM program. Duties include program tracking, RCM/PT&I analyses, and coordinating use of PT&I technology.


• Provides training to craftsmen and modification of PM task list to include an optimum mix of PM and RCM. Updates records and other documentation.


• Performs street light rounds. Performs other related duties as required.

Job Requirements

Mandatory:

• Education: High school diploma or GED. A minimum completion of one Siemens Apogee (New user, Insight Operations, DDC basics, Stand-alone programming) course.


• Experience: Journeyman Technician (Alarm, Electrical, or HVAC) with minimum of one year recent experience on a Building Automation System (Siemens, Landis Host based Insight S600 preferred), OEM training.


• Skill Requirements: Strong working knowledge of HVAC systems and controls, and high pressure boiler steam plant systems and controls. Basic knowledge of RCM and PT&I principles, technologies, and instrumentation. Knowledge of electronics (AC/DC theory). Knowledge of computers and programs (e.g., MS Word, Excel) preferred.

Hourly Rate: 64.49
