Maintenance Supervisor – Mechanical

Location: Westminster, London

Reports to: Package Manager

Type: Full-time / Permanent

Purpose of the Role:

We are seeking a proactive and experienced Maintenance Supervisor to lead and manage maintenance teams in the delivery of both planned and reactive maintenance. This role ensures compliance with statutory, mandatory, and contractual obligations while maintaining the health and resilience of critical building systems.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Oversee the execution of planned and reactive maintenance tasks in accordance with contractual requirements.
2. Manage task scheduling, resource allocation, and ensure completion to agreed standards.
3. Monitor and report on the performance and resilience of critical building systems.
4. Become Authorised Person (AP) in disciplines such as Pressure Systems, Confined Spaces, and Working at Height.
5. Issue and control permits in line with Health & Safety and contractual guidelines.
6. Apply and maintain Safe Systems of Work (SSOW).
7. Promote and maintain high Health & Safety and environmental standards.
8. Identify and implement process improvements for operational efficiency and cost savings.
9. Participate in the on-call rota and respond promptly to site call-outs.

Skills & Experience Required:

1. Experience in FM/building services environments.
2. Mechanical bias is highly desirable.
3. Strong knowledge of Building Management Systems (BMS) and critical infrastructure.
4. Ability to gain DV security clearance.
5. Health & Safety qualifications such as IOSH Managing Safely or NEBOSH.
6. Experience supervising and developing teams (2+ direct reports).
7. City & Guilds Level 2 / NVQ Level 3 in Mechanical Engineering.
8. AP qualifications, ideally aligned to JSP375 standards.
