A mid-level Quality Auditor position in Auditing and Quality Assurance independently schedules and conducts on-site conformity audits at customer locations, supporting a team of dedicated auditors with a focus on integrity, confidentiality and accurate reporting.

Qualificações

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant engineering or science field and 5+ years of manufacturing quality/audit experience.
• Solid auditing background with ability to assess conformity to FM Approvals requirements.
• Strong communication, organization and analytical skills with impartiality and integrity.

Job Description:

FM Approvals is an international leader in third-party testing and certification services. A mid-level auditor position within the Auditing and Quality Assurance department. The role of the Quality Auditor is expected to independently schedule and conduct conformity assessment audits at customer locations. Audits include various manufacturers responsible for producing products for compliance with FM Approvals requirements. FM Approved products cover a wide range of electrical, fire protection, and building materials equipment. The incumbent is expected to possess a solid auditing foundation with a demonstrated proficiency in conducting conformity assessment audits.

This role will support a team of dedicated auditors who focus on conducting customer at location on-sitecompliance audits. The role requires approximately 70% travel, and 30% travel may require overnight stays.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conducton-site auditsof manufacturing facilities to verify compliance with FM Approvals requirementsReviewtechnical documentation, product markings, inspection equipment, and calibration records for complianceDeliver clear, professionalaudit reportsand communicate findings with all stakeholdersBuild strong relationships with manufacturers by managing customer interactions and maintaining integrity, impartiality and confidentiality throughout the audit processDocument facts and observations to support audit findings and conclusionsEfficiently manage audit schedules

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree inone of the following disciplines: Electrical, Mechanical, Chemical, Industrial Engineering or a science-based equivalent degree5+ years of manufacturing process experience5+ years of related quality assurance and quality auditing experiencePossess strong organizational, critical thinking, analytical and problem-solving skillsA strong communicator—both written and verbal—with excellent interpersonal skills.Validdriver’s licenserequired

• Lead Auditor, Quality Engineer, or Quality ManagerSupplier Quality Engineer, (SQE), experienceASQ certifications such as CQA, CQE, or equivalentLead Auditor CertificationFamiliarity with CSA/UL/TUV or equivalent regulations and standardsFamiliarity with ISO 9001 or equivalent Quality Management Systems
