Job summary

FM Approvals is a global leader in third-party testing and certification. We seek a mid-level Quality Auditor to independently schedule and conduct conformity assessment audits at customer sites, focusing on FM Approvals requirements across electrical, fire protection, and building materials.

The role involves approximately 70% travel with some overnight stays, and you will work with a team of auditors to deliver reports, review documentation, and maintain integrity and confidentiality

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Chemical, Industrial Engineering, or a science-based equivalent.
• Minimum 5+ years of manufacturing process experience.
• Minimum 5+ years of QA quality auditing experience.
• Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Valid driver’s license required.
• Ability to communicate clearly with stakeholders and maintain confidentiality.

Responsibilities

• Conduct on-site audits of manufacturing facilities to verify FM Approvals requirements.
• Review technical documentation, product markings, equipment, and calibration records.
• Deliver clear audit reports and communicate findings with stakeholders.
• Build relationships with manufacturers while maintaining integrity and impartiality.
• Document facts and observations to support audit conclusions.
• Efficiently manage audit schedules.
