FM Approvals Engineering Assistant - Electrical

The successful candidate will have the necessary skills and experience to test electronic products, including industrial fire alarm and signaling equipment, focusing on performance and electrical safety.

• The candidate shall be capable of designing and fabricating testing apparatus and setups as required for each assigned task, working with minimal supervision and documenting test results.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills are required due to occasional client interaction.
• The candidate shall review, apply technical judgment, and process client-submitted design change documentation.
• Occasional travel to the Engineering and Research Campus in Norwood, MA will be required.

Requirements:

• Associates Degree or equivalent in Electrical/Electronic technology, with at least 2 years of electrical/electronic experience.
• Basic computer literacy and competency with MS Office.
• Experience with industrial flame or gas detection equipment is a plus.
