Job summary

Blue Origin LLC in Washington state is seeking a proactive Project Manager to develop and maintain the Integrated Master Schedule, manage budgets, and coordinate across engineering, design, manufacturing, and supply chain for lunar propulsion projects.

This role is part of the Lunar Permanence business unit, with relocation provided and travel up to 10%. The successful candidate will help drive spacecraft development initiatives and deliver on-time milestones in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering (Aerospace, Mechanical, Systems, or similar), Business Administration, or Operations Management from an accredited college or university.
  • ABET is preferred and others will be considered
  • 4+ years of experience in thermal/fluids systems, test engineering, or project management
  • Desire to learn thermal/fluids systems project management, new processes, test engineering, and spacecraft development
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong organizational and analytical skills
  • Excellent written communication and presentation skills
  • Proficient with the use of Microsoft Office suite of software (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project)
  • Experience with collaboration tools like Jira, Confluence, Sharepoint, etc.
  • Must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident (current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain Project Schedule(s) within the Integrated Master Schedule (IMS)
  • Manage hardware status, supporting both internal and external demand
  • Manage budgets and implementation of capital equipment and facility projects
  • Collaborate with all departments to access and collect data that informs decision making
  • Interface with NASA customer to provide schedule and insight for testing efforts
  • Maintain software tools, analytics, and reporting to highlight performance metrics and other key information
  • Reduce and close risks and identify opportunities
  • Partner with business office to ensure timely delivery of product to customer
  • Manage key program metrics (and associated reporting tools) in areas such as: Budget, engineering schedules, equipment schedules, procurement schedules, production schedules, program management status reports, and resource plans

Base Pay Range
  • CA applicants is $112,059.00 - $156,882.60
  • CO applicants is $102,721.00 - $143,809.05
  • WA applicants is $112,059.00 - $156,882.60
