Job summary

Quaker Houghton is seeking a first shift Fluidcare Technician to perform on-site technical data recording and assessment within our manufacturing environments. You will follow standard procedures with supervision available to ensure high-quality Fluidcare support.

In this role, you will assist with chemical additions, coolant maintenance, data entry, and routine equipment checks. Candidates should be able to lift up to 50 pounds and work in a manufacturing setting with safety at the forefront.

Qualifications

• Minimal to no experience in manufacturing environment required.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills.
• Sufficient skills for data entry (MS excel and word) and reporting activities.
• Forklift truck Drivers license or ability to undertake training where appropriate.
• Must have basic working knowledge of: Internet software, e-mail, word processing, spreadsheets and project tracking.

Responsibilities

• Participate in addition of chemicals and maintain coolant and lubrication records.
• Assist in maintenance of filters, pumps and coolant systems.
• Measure and record coolant parameters and maintain lubrication schedules.
• Enter results in databases and prepare shift reports.
• Assist in routine maintenance on customer equipment and fluid systems.
• Handle waste disposal per site procedures and recycle initiatives.
• Maintain laboratory equipment and tools safely and accurately.
• Operate or assist with hand tools and industrial equipment as needed.
• Support site organization, inventory and labeling efforts.
• May work with union associates and interact with customer staff.
