Qualifications

  • Proven leadership, communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills with the ability to work independently and collaboratively.
  • Mechanical aptitude, including the ability to work with and/or repair pumps and motors.
  • Valid driver's license, English proficiency, and ability to obtain and maintain required airport security clearances.

Responsibilities

  • Lead all aspects of facility operations, including safety, employee performance, productivity, and customer service.
  • Oversee the collection, processing, quality control, production, and distribution of aircraft de-icing fluid (ADF) and glycol products.
  • Manage site financial performance, including budgeting, payroll coordination, invoicing, inventories, audits, and reporting.
  • Ensure compliance with environmental regulations, customer contracts, company policies, and government requirements while maintaining emergency preparedness plans.
  • Supervise, develop, and cross-train employees while supporting recruitment, hiring, and workforce development initiatives.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, airline partners, suppliers, airport authorities, and internal stakeholders to support operational excellence and continuous improvement.

Position Overview

$80,000 - $90,000

The Fluid Production Manager is responsible and accountable for the overall safety, operational performance, and financial success of the fluid production facility at Minneapolis-Saint Paul International Airport (MSP). This role oversees the collection, storage, processing, production, quality control, and distribution of aircraft de-icing fluid (ADF), while ensuring the cost-effective use of facilities, equipment, labor, and company assets.

The Fluid Production Manager is responsible for maintaining a safe and productive work environment, supporting company goals and objectives, ensuring regulatory compliance, managing site financial performance, and fostering strong relationships with employees, customers, airlines, airport authorities, and business partners. This position plays a key role in continuous improvement initiatives and maintaining exceptional customer service standards.

Reports to: Director, Northern US Operations

Location: MSP - Minneapolis-Saint Paul International Airport, Minneapolis, MN

Essential Duties And Responsibilities

Additional Information
  • Travel may be required, including local, domestic, and occasional international travel on short notice.
  • Directly supervises a diverse team of operational employees, supervisors, technical specialists, mechanics, drivers, quality control personnel, and administrative staff.
  • Work environment includes office, warehouse, and outdoor settings with exposure to weather, noise, moving equipment, vehicles, dust, and fumes.
  • Ability to stand, sit, bend, kneel, squat, and work in physically demanding environments.
  • Ability to lift, push, and pull up to 75 lbs.
  • Must be available to support operational needs outside normal business hours and be present during de-icing events as required.
