The Packaging Lead will monitor production, improve processes, and report outcomes to the Packaging Manager. Strong leadership and attention to detail are essential.

Qualifications

• Must be 21 years of age or older and able to pass a background check.
• High school diploma or GED equivalent.
• 6 months to 1 year experience in cannabis cultivation, packaging, or related production environment.

Responsibilities

• Verify and maintain inventory levels; ensure teams have materials.
• Weigh, document, and record product lots for each packaging team.
• Hold team members accountable for tasks; promote high performance and standards.
• Collaborate with Supervisor/Packaging Manager to streamline processes.
• Foster a cohesive, positive team environment with high morale and performance.
• Serve as the communication link between team members and upper management.
• Address and resolve team or operational challenges promptly.
• Coordinate team-building activities and recognize achievements.
• Monitor and report team metrics related to productivity and quality.
• Maintain accurate documentation per standard operating procedures.
• Direct and delegate tasks to team members to complete responsibilities.
• Continuously seek opportunities to improve team performance and workflow.
• Provide daily activity and production updates to the Packaging Manager.

JOB SUMMARY

The Flower Packaging Lead reports directly to the Packaging Supervisor and is responsible for quality checks and overseeing a team of packaging associates. The Packaging Lead would be providing coaching and training to all new and existing packaging associates and to ensure the departments follow compliance with the company policy, laws and rules governed by the state.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

• Verify and maintain inventory levels, ensuring all teams have the required materials.
• Accurately weigh, document, and record product lots for each packaging team.
• Hold team members accountable for assigned tasks while promoting high performance and adherence to standards.
• Collaborate with the Supervisor and/or Packaging Manager to streamline processes and enhance operational efficiency.

MINIMUM JOB REQUIREMENTS

• Must be 21 years of age or older and be able to pass a background check

• 6 months to 1 year experience in cannabis cultivation, packaging, or related production environment

PREFERRED JOB REQUIREMENTS

• 6 months to 1 year experience in a leadership role
• Strong team-oriented mindset with the ability to collaborate effectively across departments.
• Flexibility to take on additional duties as needed.
