As Flow Manager, you will oversee department-level production flow, quality compliance, and personnel development in an on-site manufacturing environment. You will lead operators and Flow Leads on the floor, champion a zero-tolerance safety culture, and help ensure strong operational execution across the department. Maintain safe working conditions, reinforce safety rules, confirm employee readiness for assigned work, and support inspections, emergency readiness, fire prevention, and hazard correction in partnership with EHS and the safety committee. Conduct root-cause analyses for accidents, near-misses, unsafe conditions, and unsafe work practices, document findings, verify corrective actions, and elevate resource gaps when needed. Manage, coach, and support operators and Flow Leads while driving clear daily and weekly communication around safety, quality, delivery, staffing, and escalation priorities. Maintain staffing plans and skills matrices, support cross-training and skill development, and lead performance reviews and employee relations with a fair and consistent approach. Execute production plans by monitoring floor-level KPIs such as throughput, scrap, and downtime, resolving bottlenecks, and optimizing workflow to meet production targets. Ensure adherence to product specifications and SOPs by auditing floor compliance, investigating quality deviations, and implementing permanent corrective actions. Act as the operational bridge across Production, Supply Chain, Quality, Engineering, and Maintenance to manage downtime planning, reduce disruption, and address capacity, material, and scheduling risks.
You bring proven experience managing and coaching large frontline teams of 20 to 50 employees in a fast-paced manufacturing environment, along with at least three years of manufacturing experience. You have strong verbal and written communication skills and can deliver clear shift direction, navigate sensitive employee relations matters, and provide concise operational updates to senior plant leadership. You are highly agile in your thinking, able to analyze trends, resolve complex floor issues, and make calm, sound decisions when unexpected disruptions occur. You build strong relationships across functions and work effectively with Production, Maintenance, Quality, and Engineering to keep operations moving. You are also organized and comfortable with administrative responsibilities, including managing safety reports, skills matrices, and production-related systems such as ERP, MES, or Excel. A bachelor’s degree in engineering, business, or logistics, or equivalent professional experience, is required. Experience with Lean or Six Sigma is a plus. Just as importantly, you value working in a culture where every role matters and every voice is valued, and you are motivated by the opportunity to contribute to a team focused on quality, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
