Job summary

Nationwide Children's Hospital is seeking a clinical laboratory professional to perform high and moderate complexity testing across core areas, including CMI, Core Lab, and POCT. Monday–Friday 7:00 am–3:30 pm with an on-call rotation.

Responsibilities include operating within a laboratory information system, maintaining quality control, and providing excellent service while collaborating with the lab team and other departments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a lab science from an accredited institution.
• ASCP certification preferred.
• Strong organizational and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Performs routine and complex technical procedures and functions in the lab in a timely manner; may include phlebotomy, specimen processing, reporting, and storage.
• Upholds applicable laws and regulations; maintains procedures and documents.
• Delivers service excellence and teamwork while adapting communication to diverse cultures and resolving problems.
• Maintains a safe environment; uses PPE and follows hazardous material protocols.
• Participates in quality assurance activities and departmental meetings; assists in training staff and students.
