REVOLUTION ENERGY SERVICES INC. is seeking a Flow Back Technician/Operator in Washington, PA. The role splits time between the shop and active well sites, performing flowback and well testing tasks with a focus on safety and efficiency.

Candidates should be prepared for extended hours, nights, weekends, and on-call rotations in remote field locations. The position requires a high school diploma or GED, 1–3+ years of oilfield experience (flowback/well testing preferred), and mechanical aptitude

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • 1–3+ years oilfield experience preferred; flowback, well testing, or completions experience strongly preferred.
  • Mechanical aptitude with basic hand and power tool proficiency.
  • Valid driver's license; CDL a plus.
  • Current or ability to obtain: H2S Alive, First Aid/CPR, and other safety certifications as required by clients.
  • Ability to read pressure gauges, charts, and basic well site documentation.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work as part of a crew.

Responsibilities

  • Rig up and rig down flowback equipment at well locations.
  • Monitor and control flowback operations; adjust choke settings to manage pressure, rates, and sand/solids production.
  • Perform continuous well site monitoring, including pressure readings and temperature checks.
  • Coordinate with company representatives, wireline, and other service crews on location to sequence operations safely.
  • Respond to changing well conditions and elevate issues per company protocol.
  • Maintain accurate field logs, run tickets, and reports of flow rates, pressures, and equipment used.
  • Participate in job safety analyses (JSAs) and pre-job safety meetings.
  • Operate light trucks and equipment trailers to transport gear to and from location.

The Flowback Technician is responsible for the safe and efficient operation of well testing and flowback equipment during the completion and initial production phases of oil and gas wells. This position splits time between the shop, where equipment is maintained, tested, and prepared for deployment, and the field, where the technician rigs up, monitors, and rigs down flowback equipment on active well sites. The role requires a strong safety mindset, mechanical aptitude, and flexibility to work extended hours, nights, weekends, and on-call rotations in remote field locations.

Key Responsibilities - Field
  • Rig up and rig down flowback iron, chokes, separators, sand traps, tanks, and related surface equipment at well locations.
  • Monitor and control well flowback operations, adjusting choke settings to manage pressure, rates, and sand/solids production.
  • Perform continuous well site monitoring, including pressure readings, temperature checks, and visual inspection of equipment for leaks or malfunctions.
  • Coordinate with company representatives, wireline, and other service crews on location to sequence operations safely.
  • Respond to changing well conditions and elevate issues (pressure spikes, equipment failure, H2S readings) per company protocol.

  • Complete maintenance logs and communicate equipment status to the shop and operations supervisors.
