Position Overview

The florist is responsible for increasing customer confidence and loyalty by providing courteous and prompt service, maintaining fresh and appealing products, and creating a friendly atmosphere.

Primary Responsibilities & Accountabilities

• Greet, assist, and thank customers in a prompt, courteous, and friendly manner.
• Manage inventory, pricing, merchandising, expense control, and operational processes to company standards.
• Maintain the department's merchandising in accordance with community needs; ensure product availability at all times.
• Design and create floral arrangements for all occasions.
• Offer product suggestions when appropriate.
• Stock and rotate products to ensure freshness; restock efficiently to minimize waste and control costs.
• Operate department equipment and tools safely.
• Keep the work area clean and safe; report hazards and faulty equipment.
• Report theft, shoplifting, unauthorized markdowns, or property damage to management.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Minimum

• Must be 18 years of age.
• Proficient in reading, writing, and speaking English.
• Ability to understand and follow English instructions.
• Authorization to work in the U.S. or ability to obtain it.
• Successful completion of pre-employment drug testing and background check.

Preferred

• Experience in floral arrangement creation.
