Job summary

Apex-Healthcare is seeking an experienced Skilled Nursing Facility Administrator to lead a North Miami, Florida SNF, overseeing day-to-day operations, census development, and regulatory compliance. This full-time role requires a proven track record in Florida SNF leadership and a Florida license.

The Administrator will drive resident satisfaction, financial performance, staff development, and survey readiness while partnering with regional leadership to meet performance goals.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Skilled Nursing Facility Administrator in Florida required.
• Active Florida Nursing Home Administrator license in good standing.
• Proven experience managing skilled nursing or long-term care operations.
• Strong understanding of Florida SNF regulatory and survey requirements.
• Experience overseeing facility financial performance, staffing, census, and department operations.
• Demonstrated ability to lead and develop department heads.
• Strong knowledge of quality improvement and survey readiness.
• Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to build strong relationships with residents, families, employees, and referral partners.

Responsibilities

• Provide overall leadership and operational oversight of the skilled nursing facility
• Lead and support department heads across nursing, admissions, social services, rehabilitation, dietary, environmental services, and business office operations
• Maintain high standards for resident care, customer service, and facility operations
• Monitor facility census, admissions, staffing, expenses, and overall financial performance
• Work closely with the Director of Nursing to maintain strong clinical operations
• Recruit, develop, and retain effective department leaders and staff
• Establish clear expectations and accountability across departments
• Maintain ongoing survey readiness
• Ensure compliance with applicable federal, state, and facility requirements
• Oversee plans of correction and follow-up initiatives when necessary
• Monitor quality measures, resident satisfaction, staffing performance, and operational outcomes
• Develop strong relationships with residents, families, employees, referral partners
• Support admissions and census development initiatives
• Review budgets, labor, expenses, and facility performance
• Partner with ownership and regional leadership on operational goals and performance improvement
