Job summary

Chrysalis Health is seeking Florida-licensed psychiatrists (MD/DO) to provide psychiatric evaluations for youth involved with the Florida Department of Juvenile Justice (DJJ). This 1099 independent contractor role focuses on evaluation without ongoing medication management, allowing you to set flexible schedules and continue your private practice.

Evaluations can be done in-office, at Chrysalis Health locations, or DJJ facilities statewide, with administrative support and reliable referral flow

Qualifications

• Active, unrestricted Florida license as a Psychiatrist (MD).
• Board Certified.
• Experience with psychiatric assessments, forensic evaluations, court-related evaluations, or juvenile populations preferred.
• Ability to conduct in-person evaluations.
• Strong clinical assessment, diagnostic, report writing, and documentation skills.
• Professional, objective, and timely completion of evaluations.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive psychiatric and diagnostic evaluations for youth referred through the Department of Juvenile Justice (DJJ).
• Review medical records, psychiatric history, court documentation, and collateral information.
• Develop diagnostic impressions and provide treatment recommendations.
• Complete clear, concise, and court-ready evaluation reports.
