Job summary

Tew & Taylor is seeking a detail-oriented Permit Technician for our West Palm Beach office to manage a high weekly volume of permit submittals across Florida.

The role requires strong Florida permitting experience, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to move many applications efficiently through multiple building departments. Competitive compensation and benefits offered, including 401(k) matching and health insurance.

Qualifications

• Previous Florida permitting experience required.
• High-volume, multi-jurisdiction experience is a strong plus.
• Familiarity with local and state permitting processes and portals.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, submit, and track a high volume of permit applications with local and state agencies each week.
• Manage submittals through Orange County and other Central Florida building department portals.
• Review permit requirements to ensure compliance with regulations and company policies.
• Respond to comments and corrections, and resolve deficiencies to keep applications moving toward approval.
• Maintain detailed records of permits, approvals, and related documentation.
• Communicate with municipal departments and regulatory agencies to resolve permitting issues.
• Assist project managers and clients in navigating the permitting process.
• Coordinate documentation, plans, and supporting materials to ensure complete, first-pass submittals.
