Job summary

Virtual Vocations Inc. is seeking a Florida-licensed Remote Coder for a full-time role. You will edit and review medical documentation to determine coding for surgical services, manage patient chart data entry, and serve as a coding resource for the team.

This position requires CPC or equivalent certification, 2+ years in physician-based coding for outpatient/inpatient and surgical procedures, and strong CPT/ICD-10/HCPCS knowledge. Proficiency with Microsoft Office is also expected.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience in physician-based coding for outpatient/inpatient and surgical procedures.
• Certified Professional Coder (CPC) or equivalent coding certification.
• Substantial knowledge of CPT, ICD-10, HCPCS, and modifiers.
• Proficiency with Microsoft software.

Responsibilities

• Edit and review captured charges and medical documentation for accurate coding and modifiers
• Communicate discrepancies in documentation with coding support staff and supervisors
